Banquet Fundraiser Volunteering

We Exceeded our Goal

The Trees For Tomorrow Banquet Fundraiser held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin had 107 guests and raised a net total of $24,336 for the purchase of needed equipment for our educational programs.

The banquet exceeded its goal by $9,336 or 62%.  This was due to the generosity of our sponsors and guests in attendance.  The three top revenue generators for this event were table sponsorship, live auction, and the fund-in-need appeal.  Thank you Jessica Malcore of Aldo Leopold Community School for sharing your Trees For Tomorrow experience which touched the hearts of everyone in the room and raised $6,850.  Every guest participated by giving in some way either by bidding on silent and live auction items, raising their bid number to give during the fund-in-need appeal, or through the purchase of a cold beverage.  Thank you to John Gerczak at Gerczak’s Liquor for hosting our bar and helping us pick our wines and the selection of craft beers.

We provided ways for our guests to learn more about Trees For Tomorrow through a PowerPoint presentation, posters filled with pictures of our students as well as photos placed around the room for guests to thumb through.

We increased awareness of our strategic goals by placing several posters around the room listing our vision and mission.  Our educators greeted guests during social hour to ask questions and hear inspirational stories of what we do at Trees For Tomorrow.  The educators were the best people for our guests to talk to about our new curriculum and its huge impact on the future success of Trees For Tomorrow.
We reached all of our goals set for this banquet except the 150-attendance goal.
