Children attending KinderWild Camp must be fully potty-trained and a snack must be provided for each child if attending for a half-day or two snacks and a lunch if attending for the full day. It is strongly encouraged that extra clothes and weather-appropriate gear to be sent with any children attending KWC, though a supply of extra clothes will be available at camp.
Research shows that incorporating outdoor, nature-based education into a child's learning experience provides a holistic approach to development, nurturing physical, cognitive, emotional and social well-being. For some children, KinderWild Camp is their first time being in any sort of classroom environment. Giving these kids the opportunity to play and explore with others their age can be a really valuable experience.
BIG NEWS! Starting with the winter 2025 session, KinderWildCamp will meet two mornings per week on Thursdays and Fridays! A winter, spring and fall session will be offered in 2025. Each morning of KinderWild Camp begins at 7:30 AM and ends at 12:30 PM, and focuses on a different topic. Participants can sign up for one, two or all morning programming for $35/child/day.
Throughout the day, participants will engage in learning activities, create crafts, and have free play outdoors, often in TFT's outdoor Nature PlayScape, fostering a sense of connection to the natural world. Children develop a sense of awe and respect for the environment, leading to a lifelong appreciation for the importance of sustaining our natural resources.

"I wanted to thank you and Jenny so much for being such great teachers at KinderWild Camp. My son thoroughly enjoyed his days at camp. He usually spends his days at home with me and a few other little friends but getting to go to camp helped him grow so much more socially and emotionally. We have really been working through his confidence in leaving us during the day and feeling safe with other adults. We had a very negative experience with him in daycare last year and this program really helped us all get through that and feel comfortable leaving him with other teachers for a day in preparation for him starting school next year. So thank you again for a positive camp experience and being wonderful teachers! We look forward to coming back in January."
