Join a TFT environmental educator for some fun outside! Learn new skills or improve on old ones while our experts incorporate environmental education into the experience. YEAR ROUND FAMILY FUN IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

These family-friendly outdoor programs typically take about 3 hours each. Cost for the program is $15/person. Participants will meet on campus and travel to field locations. Applicable gear rental is available for an additional fee. Participants 18 yrs of age and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult.

A variety of recreational opportunities for people of all ages

  • REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR WREATH MAKING: Wreaths are made to celebrate the cycles of nature and all life. And our educators make it fun and easy to create your own from fresh everygreen boughs harvested the day before! Make one for yourself and one to give as a holiday gift!

ADULTS GET TO RETREET, REJOICE & REJUVINATE YEAR ROUND

This program series, tailored to adults, focuses on connecting participants with highlight trails and waters in the area. Each week-long retreat is dedicated to celebrating different recreational pursuits such as canoeing, hiking, and biking. Fee includes all programming, equpment, lodging and meals. Commuter rates avilable for those who don't require lodging.

THINK ECOLOGICALLY ALL YEAR LONG

For those interested in living a more sustainable life, our local experts provide practical knowledge and guidance to incorporate do-it-yourself sustainability into everyday living. From compositing to preserving food to making your own cleaning products, you'll will walk away with ready-to-use knowledge to be good stewards of our natural resources while providing a healthy and simple living environment.

9-WEEK SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR FOR PRESCHOOLERS

A fun and unique experience for 3-5-year-olds with an opportunity to explore the Northwoods, discover new interests and meet new friends. Based on the natural preschool model for early childhood outdoor education, children will spend a majority of their time outdoors learning through hands-on exploration and play! SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE EDUCATION!

The event is held annually, the Friday after Memorial Day at the Eagle River Golf Course, located in Eagle River, WI. It includes an 18-hole, 4-person scramble, challenge and betting holes, raffles, breakfast and lunch, awards ceremony, and a chance to win $10,000 in the hole-in-one contest. For more information, visit our golf page.

THERE'S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE THIS SUMMER! Ages 4-7: our Jr. SEEK program offers Tuesday mornings full of discovery, fun, and outdoor learning. Ages 8-12 will enjoy exploring and learning about the Northwoods during either half- or full-day SEEK sessions on Thursdays. Adults and older kids will love our Tuesday evening Nature at Night program lecture series that features local experts and speakers.  Wednesday morning Family Nature Programs provide opportunities for the entire family to spend some time bonding and engaging with nature!
